RECRUITMENT FOR THE POSTS OF RESEARCH ASSOCIATES, SENIOR RESEARCH FELLOWS AND DATA ENTRY OPERATOR ON TEMPORARY BASIS FOR THE PERIOD AS INDICATED AGAINIST EACH POST OR TERMINATION OF THE PROJECT/SCHEME WHICHEVER IS EARLIER BY CONDUCTING WALK-IN-INTERVIEW UNDER THE FOLLOWING PROJECTS/SCHEMES BEING INPLEMENTED AT CSSRI, KARNAL AND CSSRI, REGIONAL RESEARCH STATION , ICCMRT BUILDING 2ND FLOOR , 21/467 RING ROAD, INDIRA NAGAR, LUCKNOW.

1. Name of the Project : Computer Simulation Models for Salt Dynamics and Water Flux during Reclamation and Post Reclamation Period.

Research Associate : One

Period of sanction : Upto 25.10.2004

Qualification : (Essential ) :M.Tech Irrigation and Drainage Engineering / Soil and Water Conservation Engg. Having good knowledge of computer application / Ph.D. in soil science experience with analytical and field work / Ph.D Soil Chemistry with thorough knowledge of laboratory and field works / Ph.D Soil Science and field works / Ph.D Soil Science and Agricultural Chemistry with relevant experience.

Remuneration : Rs.8800/- consolidated P.M. for M.Tech & Rs.10500/- consolidated for Ph.D + HRA as per rules.

2. Name of the Project : NATP MM Project “Use of Urban and Industrial Effluents in Agriculture”

Research Associate : One

Period of sanction : Upto December, 2004

Qualification :Ph.D (Soil Science / Agronomy / Environmental Science ) At least two years experience as evidenced from fellowship / associateship / trainingship and/or published papers in standard journals.

Remuneration : Rs.12,000/- P.M. consolidated + HRA as per rules

Senior Reserch Fellow :: One

Period of sanction : December, 2004

Qualification : M.Sc., (Soil/Agronomy/Environmental Science / Soil Water Engg) with 1st division and 60% Marks at Post Graduate level.

Remuneration : Rs.8000/- consolidated + HRA as per rules

3. Name of the Project : Search for rice (oryza satia L) cultivars tolerant to both sodicity and Zinc deficiency stresses and physiology basis of the dual tolerance.

Sr.Research Fellow : One

Qualification : Essential MSc., Botany (Specialisation in plant Physiology) , MSc., Botany , NSc., Plant Physiology with 1st division and 60% marks at Post Graduate level.

Desirable : NET clearance and working research experience in stress physiology. Study of some courses in Soil Science at Post Graduate Level

Period of sanction : Upto June ,2005

Remuneration : Rs.9,000/- fixed P.M. + HRA as per rules.

4. Name of the Project : NATP on “Technologies for Skimming and Recharging Fresh Water in Saline Groundwater Regions”

Research Associate : One

Period of sanction : Upto September, 2004

Qualification : Essential M.Tech / MSc., in Agri. Engg (Soil & water Cons. Engg/ Irrigation & Drainage Engg)/ Msc.,(Soil Science / Geology/Geophysics) with first division 60% marks at post graduate level. Desirable : Minimum 2 years research experience in the concerned field including computer application.

Remuneration : Rs.115000/-P.M. consolidated + HRA as per rules.

Candiates fulfilling the above qualifications should apper for a WALK IN INTERVIEW ( for post of project Sr. No.1) at CSSRI, REGIONAL RESEARCH STATION, ICCMRT Building, 2nd floor, 21/467,Ring Road, indira nagar, Lucknow and for posts of projects Sr.Nos.2 to 4 at CENTRAL SOIL SALINITY RESERCH INSTITUTE , ZARIFA FARM, KACHHWA ROAD, KARNAL on 16-07.2004 at 10.00a.m. and Candidates shall bring the following documents alongwith complete biodata.

( i ) Original cetificates of educational qualifications and attested copies

( ii ) Two testimonials of character from two responsible gazetted officers

( iii ) relevant publications

( iv ) a brief or reserch work carried during post graduations

( v ) No objection certificate from the employer in case of employment elsewhere

( vi ) Experience certificates in original, if any

Age : 35 Years. The relaxation for 5 years for SC/ST candidates and 3 years for OBC candidates.

The above positions are purely temporary and are co-terminus with the project/scheme. The services of the appointed candidates will stand terminated automatically after the expiry of the project/scheme of completion of period offered in the selection offer whichever is earlier and the candidate will not have any right for absorption in NATP/UPCAR/DST/CSSRI/ICAR.

No TA/DA is admissible for attending the interview.
