Introduction:

Bhoomi College is a not-for-profit unit of KNA Foundation for Education (estd. 1995) at Bangalore. The Bhoomi College is a creative learning space for change makers to build their interests, address concerns about ecological living and be better equipped for positive action. The college takes a holistic and integrated approach- connecting the arts & sciences, theory & practice, eastern & western wisdom as well as intellectual, emotional, physical & spiritual self exploration.

Bhoomi believes that the future of education involves Holistic enquiry and is committed to equip individuals in exploring alternative learning methodologies.

About the scholarship:

The purpose of education is to equip young adults to respond proactively to the phenomena that are emerging in their context. Holistic education engages the head, heart, hands and spirit of the child and the teacher. It allows for connections with ?community, earth, soul, subject and mind-and-body. Through your writing, tell us why you feel Holistic education is important in today?s world and how it can enrich a child?s learning.

Eligibility:

Undergraduate students (Studentship certificate from Institute Authority is essential for taking part in competition and enrolling in the course)

(b) Language :English

(c) Mode: Only Electronics mode of submission will be acceptable

(g) Scholarship finalization (post discussion with applicant): 25th Jul 2016

Awards

The best essay will be decided by a board of Jury members. The author will be awarded a 50% scholarship (on a work-study basis) to join the PG Diploma in Holistic education course 2016 (6 months or 1 year duration) at Bhoomi college, Bangalore.
