American Research Institute in Turkey,ARIT,National Endowment of the Humanities,Postdoctoral Fellowship in the Humanities in Turkey

Purpose: Annual award to support scholars engaged in research on ancient, medieval, or modern times in Turkey in any field of the humanities.

Field of Study: Fields focusing on ancient, medieval, or contemporary Turkey within the humanities.

Eligibility: Scholars who hold the PhD or who have completed their professional training may apply. Applicants are expected to have an affiliation with educational institutions in the United States or Canada and must be either U.S. citizens or have resided in the U.S. for three years Students must apply for research permission to Turkish government, and it is recommended that they do so six months in advance.

Award: $13,335 – $40,000 for up to one year of support.
