Target Scholarship Program

The Target Corporation offers over 600 $1000 scholarships and one $25,000 award each year. The eligibility requirements are much broader than most scholarships, and excellent grades are not required.

To apply, you must be a legal U.S. resident, age 24 or under, and either a senior in high school, a high school graduate, or enrolled as an undergraduate in college. Target employees, their immediate family members, and past winners are excluded.

For such a generous award, the grade requirement is fairly lax. You only need a ?C? (2.0) or higher GPA. Rather than grades, the emphasis seems to be on volunteer service in the community and an essay on volunteer work.
