RESEARCH ASSOCIATESHIPS AND RESEARCH FELLOWSHIPS IN CLIMATE SCIENCE
The Indian Institute of Tropical Meteorology is an autonomous research organisation fully funded by Ministry of Earth Sciences, New Delhi. It is a premier Institute of national and international repute, devoted to research in various aspects of atmospheric sciences with emphasis on Tropical Meteorology, particularly on the Climate Change and Indian Monsoon. Ifs activities include training to post graduates and motivate them to take up research careers in atmospheric and oceanic sciences required to improve prediction skill of weather and climate.
The Institute has excellent infrastructural facilities such as High Performance Computers, modem library, workshop and other scientific support. It has a strong link with various universities and national and international organizations.
Applications are invited from young Doctorates/Post Graduates for selection of Research Associates and Research Fellows at the Institute respectively.
1) Research Associates: 10 positions for General Category; Stipend: Rs.22,000/- p.m. plus admissible HRA; Tenure: One Year
2) Research Fellows: 10 Fellowships for General Category; Stipend: Rs.16,000/- p.m. plus admissible HRA; Tenure: 04years; Must registerfor Ph.D.
