Deakin India Research Initiative (DIRI) and IIT - Madras, invite applications for DIRI Research Fellowships

Deakin University, Australia, is offering limited number of meritorious scholarships for its full-time off-campus PhD program through the Deakin India Research Initiative (DIRI) in the areas of Materials Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering and Mechanical Engineering.

Selected candidates will be based with Deakin's research and development partner, IIT - Madras in Chennai and registered for PhD at Deakin University, Australia. They will receive a 100% tuition fee waiver and Deakin will offer a monthly fellowship as per the institutional guidelines. IIT Madras will provide hostel accommodation at Chennai and the PhD scholars will be a part of the IITM ? Deakin Joint Supervision Program.The candidate will get an opportunity to travel to Australia (Deakin University) for a duration of 6 ? 12 months during the program duration of 3 to 4 years.

Eligibility:

- Quality M. Tech/MS from a recognized University in India

- UGC/NET qualified

- Must have a written thesis of 10,000 words as part of the M. Tech/MS

- First Class scores of above 65% in Graduation and Post Graduation exams

- Research publications desired
